Fifty and Fabulous Boudoir Session

Cue the sultry music for this post! Today I’m featuring Ms. Juliette Lockhart, a stunning woman, who is… Over 50! She truly shows boudoir photography is great for ANY age!

Juliette said,

“I had an amazing experience with my photographer!  She made me feel instantly at ease and beautiful!  I loved that my photographer incorporated my ideas as well as hers and the cues she gave to make the photos better were easy to understand and helpful. My favorite part of the session was feeling glamorous and beautiful; being able to look at some of the shots as we went along helped a lot with that!”

We talked beforehand, and decided to go for a sexual/edgy vibe; more sexy than romantic; but I think we captured both.

This boudoir session was particularly special, as her “boyfriend is very visual; [she] did this as a surprise Christmas gift for him.  [She] thinks he will definitely appreciate looking at these.”

We took the photographs in her lovely home which she chose, because ” I have a nice comfortable bed, beautiful headboard and it was convenient; don’t worry if your bedroom is messy; everything can be moved away and put back, also, my photographer was able to edit the photos so that a printer i have in the room was not seen in the final product.” (Note: we could not move the printer as we did with other items,  because it was far too inconvenient for Ms. Lockhart to reconnect it to wifi and I do not like to create any inconvenience for any of my clients!)

As you can see, Juliette is incredibly beautiful, but looks aren’t the only thing she’s got going on. Her favorite past-times include reading, travel, trying new restaurants, and hanging out at the beach at her camper.

Juliette was not nervous before her boudoir session at all! She said, “I think that is partly because I am not shy taking my clothes off; and these photographs were for my boyfriend (he’s already seen all my naughty bits/flaws!) and he loves me just the way I am.” Rock that confidence, woman! Juliette was able to relax quickly and we got some gorgeous shots.

She brought two black teddies for the session and each looked amazing on her. She got one at Marshall’s and one on Amazon – believe it or not!  She told me, “That was the one I liked the best actually.  I bought panties from Nordstrom but the photos I chose were the ones with me dressed in the teddy.”

Since we had such an amazing shoot, I asked Juliette to share a little bit of advice for others who may want to have a boudoir session in the future. Here’s what she had to say:

“Go for it!  Let all that negative self talk go and just do it.  You will be so happy.  I did get a spray tan, which I do recommend – I still had tan lines from the summer and those were gone with the spray tan.  Don’t focus on your flaws; be open to the experience, trust your photographer.  Even poses that feel weird at the time will end up looking amazing.”

That’s definitely solid advice!
