Today we bring you Ashley, a wholesale buyer for a baby shop who also educates caregivers on cloth diapers and baby carriers. Ashley loves to knit and spin yarn, spend time with her children, play video games, and thrift shop! Ashley is a House of Rowan VIP, joining us in our South Jersey photography studio for her second session with Adrian!
While Ashley’s first boudoir session was a chance for healing, she tells us this one was about celebrating where she is in life right now. “My first session was about reclaiming myself after so much trauma. This one was just to capture that joy in my life at this moment.”
Ashley met us in the studio the morning of her session and sat with Jeanine for hair and makeup. Our clients share all their hair and makeup inspo with us ahead of their boudoir session, so there’s no guessing game when they lower into that that chair for pampering! Ashley says Jeanine nailed the look she was hoping for. “She absolutely made me glow and immediately captured the look I was dreaming of.”
There was an added air of excitement surrounding Ashley’s second boudoir session, as we were experimenting with a new set! “[We] created a shower wall in the studio. It was very glowy, mysterious, sometimes out of focus and sometimes very intimate.” We are always dreaming up new set ideas to keep every session fresh, fun, and sexy – and to give our clients plenty of options.
Ashley kept the wardrobe for her steamy shower session simple: a white tank and white men’s t-shirt, both paired with a set of black high waisted ribbed underwear, all from Target.
When asked about her favorite part of her boudoir session, Ashley recalled the pure joy and fun of the experience. “Absolute joy. So much laughter and professional guidance. It was such a safe space to experiment with a whole new side of myself. The energy was electric and so invigorating.”
If you’re thinking about booking a session yourself, Ashley says don’t wait. “Go for it! The fact that Adrian does all the work and offers financing…. she makes it so simple to do. It’s so easy to make up reasons to not do it right now but you’re never going to get the you right now back.” We tell ourselves so many lies about our bodies, and boudoir calls out every single one of them. Boudoir celebrates your body as it is, in this very moment: strong, sexy, unique.

“This was my second shoot with Adrian. Her work is just phenomenal. The studio is amazing. She handles all the work and guides you through each step and prepares you beautifully. However, what brought me back more than anything is the absolute safe space she creates. Boudoir can be an exposing experience, whether physically or emotionally or both and Adrian is the one person I trust to capture me in those moments.”
