Probably not. Some places censor the type of images they will print so it’s not guaranteed.

Many of these places have onsite labs which are likely employees from your neighborhood. If you’re not comfortable with a neighbor seeing them or have privacy concerns, printing at a local place is definitely not advisable.
When should you have a boudoir session?
Anytime! If you’re planning on gifting them for a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or special occasion I do suggest having your session at least 2 months prior to the event.
We tend to book very quickly, so scheduling as soon as possible is usually best!
Where to buy boudoir outfits?
This is the most frequently asked question I have heard from my clients. It has been asked so often that I actually opened a lingerie boutique, House of Rowan! The boutique is open to the public, but clients get an extra bonus of a $25 gift card towards shopping AND in person style assistance during their in person consultation!
I have always offered styling assistance and a comprehensive style guide to my clients. I believe in preparing every client as much as possible in order to ease their nerves. I walk clients through every step of the process AND email guides that go over everything! I am also available during business hours to answer any questions, no question is dumb, I promise!
How does boudoir photography work?
This is a long one! I offer a concierge service, which means I take care of everything for you. I’ll list the steps of your session/prep/after session as well as what’s included with your session.
01 The Consultation
This is when we get to know each other better. We’ll meet in-person to plan your boudoir session and go over all the details to prepare — location, outfits, style, and hair and makeup. We’ll plan and design your session so it’s customized to your personality and preferences.
All your questions will be answered so you are confident and ready for your photography session.
After the consultation, I’ll send you a personalized, private Pinterest board with attire, location, and makeup ideas. Please pin your ideas to this board so that we can collaborate to really create a session that’s all about you! You’ll also receive several prep emails before your session. They go over EVERYTHING so you’ll be completely prepared for your boudoir session!
02 Professional Hair and Makeup
Part of the boudoir and self love experience is a bit of pampering! Hair and makeup are included as a way to relax before your session. Our professional artist creates looks that enhance your natural features, never change them.
We’ll schedule plenty of time in advance of the session for you to get pampered.
03 The Boudoir Session
This is where all the preparation comes together and we create beautiful art together!
A boudoir session lasts about 4 hours, including time for hair and makeup. We’ll meet at the location you chose and begin your session. I’ll help feel comfortable in front of the camera and be yourself! And don’t worry about posing, I’ll guide you through the poses and even demonstrate them myself (which gets all of my clients laughing).
We’ll take all of the time needed to ensure a fantastic experience that focuses on you.
04 Reveal and Order Appointment
Rather than be overwhelmed by an online gallery full of hundreds of images to scroll through (and then be unsure of what and how to order), we’ll schedule an appointment to choose your images together.
This appointment is scheduled 2-3 weeks after your boudoir session.
In advance of your appointment, I’ll curate the best images for you to view and select from. After you choose your favorites, I’ll help you determine the appropriate size wall art to fit your space and order the albums and art you’ve selected.
There will be samples of the luxury albums, wall art, and prints on hand for you to see and feel. I’ll help you order exactly what you want so it’s all taken care of.
05 Custom-made Products
I’ll place your order with my professional printing lab.
Generally within 5-6 weeks, your custom products will be ready. Some orders may require more time, depending on the exact order. This will be discussed as needed.
Once your items are ready, I personally hand-inspect each piece and wrap them in boutique packaging. Then, I will let you know it’s ready for pickup.

Formally defined, boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, sensual, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects in a photographic studio, bedroom or private dressing room environment.
