Today we’re featuring Kasi, a true jack of all trades: hair stylist, artist, aerialist, dancer, and fitness lover! Kasi booked her boudoir session as a stepping stone on her personal journey of healing. “I have a rocky relationship with sex and sexuality, so part of me healing over time is [by] experiencing different things, like boudoir. Things that will make me feel sexy and free without being triggering.”
Boudoir is so many things to so many different people, and it can absolutely be healing.
Kasi met us in the South Jersey photography studio the morning of her session and hopped right into hair and makeup with Jeannine and told us she loved her look. “I’m a hairstylist myself and getting myself beautified by others is so amazing to me because it’s also educational. We all do things our own ways and have our own hacks and talking with Jeannine was just as wonderful as her skills and as I came out looking!
Kasi was confident in the unique vibe she wanted for her boudoir session, and she nailed it. “Spooky, doll-like, dancer, oddity. Absolutely pulled it off. Adrian was even open to trying some unique poses that I’d suggested.”
As an aerialist and pole dancer, Kasi knows how to put together a sexy look and brought along several for her session, including a Halloween-inspired set with a mesh and velvet bra embellished with a spider design and matching cape!
Leading up to her boudoir session, Kasi admitted she had a few doubts but was pleasantly surprised once she was in front of the camera.
“I was nervous, I work with people every day intimately as well, so I project a lot of confidence that I may or may not actually have. But I felt very comfortable the whole time and was able to go for and try everything. Overall, I had a very lovely and unique experience. The setting of the pictures is unlike anywhere I’ve ever taken pictures before.”
As for her favorite part of the experience, Kasi said it’s a solid tie between the joy of being in an old Victorian and the confidence Adrian pumped into her during her session.
“My favorite part is either just experiencing that amazing house, or the hype that Adrian gives. And them together? Whew, everything.”
As for anyone unsure about booking their own boudoir session, Kasi says don’t wait.
“Do it, always do it. Your body is ready, right now, as [it] is. Your body is holding you and keeping you, it’s there with you every day. Give it a moment to shine, you’d be amazed how much you will love it and appreciate it, flaws and all.”
