Today we bring you Ashley, an avid hiker, crocheter, painter…and all-around badass who wears more hats than we can count (including firefighter, fire investigator, and fire inspector!) Ashley’s boudoir session was a proclamation of self-love and reclaiming all the parts of herself she felt she’d lost touch with after a year that was tough on all of us.
Ashley met us in the South Jersey boudoir photography studio and went right into hair and makeup with Kayla.
“Kayla did my hair and my makeup, and she did an amazing job. Between our consultation and actual application of the makeup I was blown away. She took my vision and just went with it and made it stunning. My hair was curled beautifully and really went well with the crown that I was wearing for my photoshoot.”
Next, Ashley slipped into the single lingerie set she’d brought for her boudoir session: a gorgeous lace and mesh bra and panty set in moss green (House of Rowan) that perfectly channeled the “dark princess vibes” she was hoping for! She topped the whole look off with a metal crown and a string of pearls that played with both soft and edgy vibes, and she rocked the whole look.
When asked what her favorite part of her session was, Ashley says hands down it was the level of comfort she felt throughout.
“My favorite part of the session has to be the level of comfortability [and] joy and knowing that I was super comfortable in my skin [and] with who was in that room with me. I really feel like that joy and that level of comfortability is shown in the pictures because I was able to not only be myself but really, fully, and honestly portray my beauty inside and out. Plus of course the crown was bad-ass!”

“[You’ll] not only get to look back on [your photos] but you really gain so much confidence and sense of self.”
This was Ashley’s second time in our studio, and we are so happy she has another confidence-boosting experience in the books.
“Adrian did my very first photo session for my 30th birthday and I fell in love with not only her personality but also her style and the way that she interacts [with] and handles her clients. She makes you feel like family, that you’re cared for and tended to, and that you’re the very top priority even though she has other clients – and I absolutely love that about her.”
