Today we bring you Allyson, a sports lover who is always down for meeting people and having good conversation. Allyson booked her boudoir session as a gift to herself, and that’s always our favorite reason our clients book with us!
Allyson met us in the South Jersey boudoir studio on the morning of her session and first slipped into hair and makeup with Jeannine. Allyson wasn’t sure what she wanted for her look, so she let Jeannine take over, and she wasn’t disappointed. “[Jeannine] was so personable and I let her have free range of my hair and makeup, as I normally don’t know what style fits me. She brought out a lot of my natural features.”
As for her outfits for her session, Allyson knew she was going for innocent with a side of sexy. She brought three gorgeous lingerie looks – purple (Amazon), black (VS), red with a bow detail (VS) – and a brown plush sweater (Kohl’s) to touch on the “innocent” feel. “[I wanted] cute [and] sultry, sort of like your girl next door that has a naughty side. Adrian absolutely killed that for the shoot.”
When asked if she was nervous about anything leading up to her boudoir session, Allyson admitted she was worried about not loving her photos.
“I was nervous about not loving the end result. The entire time, Adrian reminded me to let go of the insecurities and just have fun. When it came time for my reveal, I was stunned how many photos I loved of myself.”
Part of our work to hype our clients up during a session includes sneak-peeks of their photos in real time! Seeing how amazing you look while you’re in front of the camera is the ultimate confidence boost.
As for her favorite part of her session, Allyson said it was the genuine fun she had. “[I loved] how much I laughed. Laughter truly melted any insecurities I had, and I really was able to have a good time.”
Allyson said her overall experience was one that left her feeling confident in a way she hadn’t in years.
“From the moment I stepped into Adrian’s studio, I had this overwhelming sense of confidence and self-worth I had thought I lost years ago. I laughed, smiled, and felt this feeling of self-love I didn’t know existed. The entire experience had me on cloud nine for days following.”
