Today we’re sharing Caitlyn’s comfortable and flirty boudoir session. Caitlyn is a powerful mama and a professional birth worker, so we were so excited to give her a day where she was the focus!
When Caitlyn arrived for her boudoir session at our South Jersey studio she was admittedly a little nervous; but once things got rolling her concerns melted away. “It felt so foreign to actually do something for myself for once. When I arrived for the actual shoot, my perspective changed completely. It was so easy to settle in and just be myself.”
Once Caitlyn slipped into hair and makeup with Kayla she really began to relax and enjoy herself. “My favorite part was makeup. I loved just sitting down and being pampered! [Kayla] was a blast to work with and I loved her work!”
When it was time to get dressed Caitlyn put on the first of two beautiful pieces she’d brought for her boudoir session. Her lingerie choices reflected both aesthetics she was going for: sexy and comfortable. “The first was a sexy black lace one piece from Target (Bless Target), and the second a cute and flirty blush short set paired with an oversized cardigan from SHEIN.”
Caitlyn’s goal for her session was not only to feel confident and sexy but to reflect her identity as a mother, and she felt assured that the images brought it all to life.
“I wanted to remember what it was like to be sexy after having two kids, but I also wanted to showcase that I am a mom! We did a great mix of sexy and comfortable without losing confidence and power.”
While she wasn’t sure what to expect going into a boudoir session, Caitlyn was able to drop her inhibitions once she was in front of the camera. “I had zero confidence in myself. There is no way the makeup artist could make me look good. I was so wrong! I was amazed how easy it was to recreate the poses. The makeup came out beautiful and as the camera clicked, I just went with the flow. And the pictures showed it.”
