Soft & Sensual Boudoir Session

Today we bring you Sarah, an office worker who stepped away from her usual MO of “all business most of the time” to do something outside of her comfort zone! A self-described “quiet body”, Sarah originally booked her boudoir session for herself but soon after became engaged and thought it would be a great wedding present for her fiancé.

Sarah met us in the South Jersey photography studio the morning of her session and got right to pampering in hair and makeup with Jeanine. Sarah’s vibe for her boudoir session was sensual, and she felt we pulled it off. “I think we nailed it. I loved my makeup. It was soft and simple. My hair came out really good.”

After hair and makeup, it was time to slip into Sarah’s first look: a red bodysuit with a bow (Torrid). Sarah also brought a more personal look for her session: her fiancé’s western shirt from Wrangler’s and boots from Sheplers. We love it when our clients rock their significant other’s clothes!

When asked if she was nervous leading up to her boudoir session, Sarah said it was different from her normal demeanor.

“I was extremely nervous! I was nervous for every aspect of it. I’m one to normally cover up but this has [it] all on display. We talked through everything before and during the session. It definitely helped relax me. [Adrian] made everything so easy.”

While we encourage clients to explore their limits, we never push them into an uncomfortable place. We love to see the confidence a boudoir session brings out that some never even knew they had!

As for her favorite part of the session, Sarah said it was slipping into her boots. “My boot pictures were my favorite. The pictures of me with them in the window are my absolute favorite pictures.” Boudoir sessions don’t have to be all about lingerie! Some of our clients’ sexiest photos include an oversized sweater, a pair of ripped jeans, or their significant other’s jersey.

As for anyone considering booking their own boudoir session, Sarah says don’t hesitate. “If you want to do it or [are] even thinking about maybe wanting to do it, go for it.”

Sarah, thank you so much for trusting us with your gorgeous photos. It was an honor to have you in the studio and we hope to have you back again soon!
