This boudoir blog post features Lissa, a stunning and confident woman who was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Her passions are baseball, dogs, and cooking. She also has a penchant for iced coffee and exotic teas. We had a great time during her boudoir session and we got some amazing images!
Lissa booked a boudoir session with us for two reasons. She did it for herself, to actually see herself for who she is now. She also did the boudoir session for her fiancé, because “he’s made this journey with me and deserves something special.”
We met at the South Jersey studio for her session. Her hair and makeup were done by Kayla of Level Up Makeup who did a brilliant job.
Once Lissa was finished getting pampered, we began the boudoir session. She brought 3 changes of clothing for the session and I loved them all. She got them at Torrid, Amazon, and an online boutique.
We talked beforehand, and Lissa wanted to capture her vibrant and cunning personality and she thinks we nailed it!
Says Lissa about the boudoir experience: “[It was] enlightening, liberating and comfortable.”
We asked Lissa if she was nervous before her boudoir session and she said:
“I was extremely nervous. I’ve recently lost 268 pounds, and felt like I lost who I really was during this transition. I’ve never been thinner Lissa, I identify as ‘fat Lissa.’ Through your [Adrian’s] coaching on how to pose, and our seemingly casual conversation I immediately felt comfortable. I actually felt the worry melt away.”
I am always glad to hear when a client has such a positive experience!
We always ask our clients if they have advice for ANYONE considering a boudoir session. Our clients definitely give a different perspective than we can and they give honest feedback on their experience and how/why they decided to book. Lissa was no exception:
