Today we bring you Barb and Bill, the loveliest couple who booked a boudoir session to celebrate a milestone in their relationship: their 25th wedding anniversary. Rather than surprising a partner with your boudoir photos, we absolutely love the idea of getting them in front of the camera too. Couple sessions are sexy, romantic, and a wonderful way to commemorate a relationship. For Barb, choosing to get Bill involved was easy. “[We love] spending time with each other. Doesn’t matter where or what we’re doing. As long as we are together.”
The morning of their session, Barb first met us in the South Jersey photography studio for pampering, AKA hair and makeup with Kayla. Barb let us know she suffers from extreme social anxiety, so we were sure to do everything we could to make her feel as comfortable as possible. “[Kayla] was amazing and kept me calm the whole time I was in her chair.”
Barb and Bill brought a few outfits for their boudoir session, all from Amazon: a white shirt and leather pants for Bill, a corset dress, blue silk pajamas, and a blue lingerie set for Barb. The vibe for their session? Their pure, unadulterated love for one another. “We wanted to show how much we love each other and yes, most definitely, with Adrian helping us, we pulled it off. We pulled it off a whole lot better than we thought [we] would.”
When asked what Barb was most nervous about before their session, she said she was afraid her anxiety would get the best of her.
“I was a complete nervous wreck. Then, I met with Adrian for the first appointment and she had me relaxed within 10 minutes. The day of the shoot, again, I was nervous as hell, but once we got dressed and started our first picture, Adrian had us both feeling like we were dancing like nobody was watching. I was so completely comfortable that I even asked for a hug after our shoot was over.”
Our top priority is making our clients feel calm, confident, and safe during their boudoir session.
For anyone considering boudoir, Barb says don’t waste another moment: “Go for it. You only live once.” We have to agree. One of the most common reasons clients hesitate is because they’re waiting for the “right time”. Right now is the right time to celebrate your amazing body!
As for her favorite part of their session, Barb couldn’t put her finger on just one moment. “Honestly, I can’t choose. All of it was amazing. Adrian worked her magic on us, and we couldn’t have asked for more.”
